The Museum Steamship "Skjelskør"

 

S/S Skjelskør was built at J. Ring Andersens Steelshipyard on Frederiksøen in Svendborg. Where the ship was launched on the 5th of December 1914 with the name SKJELSKØR (III). On the 13th of March the ship had her trials in the waters around Svendborg and reached a speed of 7.5 knots. After the trials the ship was surrendered to Dampskibsselskabet Skjelskør and was put on the route between Skælskør and the islands Agersø and Omø.
